Heritage Grants Program
The Heritage Grants Program assists Manitobans in identifying, protecting and interpreting the province’s human and natural heritage.
NOTE: The Heritage Grants Program does not support heritage building conservation or other capital projects. If you have a designated heritage site, or are considering designation, please see the Heritage Resources Conservation Grant (below). If you are planning work on a building that is not designated, please consider the Building Sustainable Communities program.

What is the Heritage Grants Program?
The Heritage Grants Program has been developed to assist Manitobans in identifying, protecting and interpreting the province's human and natural heritage.
What are the deadlines?
Deadlines for applications are January 31 and June 1 of each year.
Who can apply?
Application for funding under this program is open to any not-for-profit, incorporated community organization, Local Government, university or First Nation seeking to identify, protect or interpret Manitoba's human and natural heritage. The organization must have been in existence for at least one year.
Individuals or unincorporated groups may apply under the endorsement of an eligible organization. The organization endorsing the applicant must provide a letter of support for the project. The results of the project must be publicly accessible on a non-for-profit basis.
What is the funding formula?
Not-for-profit community organizations can apply to the Heritage Grants Program for up to 50% of the total project expenses (including donated labour, materials and equipment) and may not exceed the total cost of purchased labour, materials and equipment.
