Internal Reports
Background Reports
Over several decades, Historic Resources staff, contracted researchers, and summer students have compiled a variety of research reports for the Branch. While these were produced as internal reference or background material, they are available to interested researchers, students or the public on request by contacting Historic Resources.

Theme Studies
Historic Resources Branch theme studies on major aspects of Manitoba’s historical development range from important sectors of the economy to major building types, and provide a broad context for study and assessment of individual sites.
Summaries of studies that have the greatest public appeal are now available on this website. Where noted, readers are invited to contact the Historic Resources Branch for further information on the original publications, which also often include known site inventory sections related to the theme.
